Beginner 20-Minute Kettlebell Circuit (One Bell, Own Pace)

20 min20 minutes, own pace

Second beginner session after fundamentals: one bell, 20 minutes at your own pace — swings, rows, lunges, push-ups. Circuit density, not a frantic AMRAP race. Form over round count.

Who it's for: second beginner session after fundamentals — one bell, full-body circuit density without racing the clock. Browse the beginner hub if you still need the first-session path.

Bell & time: one kettlebell for 20 minutes at your own pace — swings 10, rows 5/side, lunges 10/side, push-ups 10. Keep the same load you used for fundamentals when the kettlebell swing hinge stays quiet. Rest briefly between stations; do not chase rounds.

Done looks like: swings float to chest height without yanking, rows reach the hip, lunges stay upright, push-ups stay rigid. Form beats another loop. Next timed AMRAP: the 20-minute single-bell AMRAP, then more on 20-minute and single-bell.

FAQ

Who is this beginner 20-minute kettlebell circuit for?
Beginners who already ran fundamentals (or can hinge and swing cleanly) and want a second one-bell session. Own-pace circuit density — not a frantic AMRAP race. Brand new? Start on the beginner hub with fundamentals first.
What kettlebell weight should I use for the 20-minute beginner circuit?
One bell you can swing for 10 unbroken reps with a clean hip hinge. Most people stay on the same 12–16 kg they used for fundamentals; women often 8–12 kg; men often 12–16 kg. Drop weight if lunges or rows lose posture before the clock ends.
Is this an AMRAP — should I chase as many rounds as possible?
No. Scheme is 20 minutes at your own pace. Move continuously with short breaths between stations, but stop a round early if the swing hinge gets noisy. Done = clean swings, rows, lunges, and push-ups for the full 20 — not a higher round count.
What if my kettlebell swing form falls apart mid-circuit?
Cut swing volume or rest longer between stations. Film a side view and use the swing form page. Fix the hike and snap before chasing denser circuits on the 20-minute or single-bell hubs.
What should I do after the beginner 20-minute circuit?
Browse timed one-bell sessions on the 20-minute and single-bell hubs. Keep three days a week with a rest day between. Simple & Sinister is a separate practice program — only after the swing hinge stays quiet under fatigue.
